Story of Mere Husband Ki Biwi
The story of the film revolves around Ankur Chadha (Arjun Kapoor), who is a real estate businessman. Ankur was married to Prabhleen Kaur (Bhumi Pednekar) during his college days, who is a journalist by profession and is also career-oriented. However, after marriage, there are difficulties in their life when it becomes difficult to balance work and personal life. Gradually their relationship falls apart and eventually their relationship is on the verge of breaking up.
Meanwhile, his old friend Antara (Rakul Preet Singh) comes back in Ankur’s life. The two grow close again and Ankur gets a second chance at love. After this, many interesting and humorous turns come in the story, which keeps the audience completely tied up.
Direction
Mudassar Aziz has presented this film in a light-hearted way, in which there is a perfect balance of laughter and emotional elements. Though the story of the film may seem like a conventional love triangle, the brilliant comic timing of the characters and the interesting one-liners make it special.
The beginning of the film may seem a little slow, but as the story progresses, its pace picks up. The dialogues are witty and entertaining, which manages to make the audience laugh. However, there are some scenes that are reminiscent of old Bollywood romantic-comedy films, which makes the novelty in the film a little less.
Acting

Arjun Kapoor plays the role of a cop in the film. His comic timing has improved, which is clearly visible on the screen. Bhumi Pednekar has played her role as a strong woman well, but somewhere her character resembles Vedika Tripathi of ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh‘.
Rakul Preet Singh has given an impressive performance as Antara and her chemistry with Arjun looks good. Harsh Gujral, Dino Morea, Aditya Seal and Shakti Kapoor in supporting roles have also done justice to their roles. Shakti Kapoor’s character is particularly eye-catching, adding a new burst of laughter to the film.

Music and technical aspects
The film’s music is its biggest strength. Romantic and peppy tracks reflect the mood of the story in the right way. The background score is also fun and energetic, which makes the comedy scene more effective. Cinematography is good and the visuals look vibrant and appealing. Editing could have been a bit more tight, as some portions are dragged long.
