Jalebi Rocks Expands to 125 More Screens Nationwide

After an overwhelming response, Jalebi Rocks, India’s first movie on menopause, adds additional screens. The movie released with 225 screens on June 27th and added 125 more, a whopping increase of 55 %.

Chinmay Purohit, Writer and director says, “The response to Jalebi Rocks has been more than we could imagine. It amazing to know that the movie continues to receive this much of love and demand from our audiences. It is a reminder for our film industry that unique storyline like Jalebi rocks is welcomed and appreciated in our culture.”

The movie had an opening week that was able to garner INR 1.5 crore at the box office. It was aired on 225 screens in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Vadodara. The production team added more than 125 screens across Bangalore, Kolkata and Pune. They have also added screens in cities including Hyderabad, Chennai and Cochin.

Binita Dharmesh Shah, Producer of the movie shared, “We strongly believed in the storyline of this movie and glad to see the audience across cities connecting with Jalebi Rocks. It’s incredibly fulfilling to see packed theatres in these cities week on week for a regional language movie. It reinforces our belief that meaningful stories, when told with honesty, truly find their audience.”

Jalebi Rocks is a Gujarati family film that follows the story of Vidya Pathak, a 48-year-old homemaker, who through her journey celebrates self-respect, strength of character, and the indomitable spirit of a woman. Jalebi Rocks is a moving story of late blossoming and individual success, motivating viewers with its realisation that one is never too old to chase one’s dream. With an outstanding cast of Vandana Pathak, Manav Gohil, Deepak Gheewala, Manasi Rachh, and others, Jalebi Rocks is not just a movie—it’s a talking point, a family outing, and an ode to women finding themselves over again.
