As 2025 marks 50 years of the declaration of Emergency in India. Kangana Ranaut’s much-awaited political drama film Emergency is all set to bring this historic moment to the big screen. The makers have announced that the new trailer of the film will be released on 6th January 2025, raising the excitement for its release globally on 17th January 2025.
Sharing the announcement on social media, the makers wrote, “50 years after India’s darkest hour – Emergency. Uncover the untold story of India’s most powerful woman and the event that changed the nation forever. #Emerge will be released on January 6, 2025. Watch #Emergency in theaters on January 17, 2025. “
Directed by Kangana Ranaut, Emergency stars Anupam Kher as Jayaprakash Narayan, Shreyas Talpade as Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Milind Soman as Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, Mahima Chaudhry as Pupul Jayakar, Vishak Nair as Sanjay Gandhi and late Satish Kaushik as Jagjivan Ram. The film is produced by Zee Studios, Manikarnika Films and Renu Pitti, and is further enhanced by the impactful dialogues written by Ritesh Shah and a catchy score composed by Sanchit Balara and GV Prakash Kumar.
