Raveena Tandon on TOIFA’s Role in Celebrating Industry Excellence

Respected actress Raveena Tandon believes the Times of India Film Awards (TOIFA) are really crucial in presenting the finest talent in the film industry. Tandon, a member of the Advisory Council for the TOIFA OTT 2023, shared her thoughts on the worth of these honors in respecting work and effort.

Looking back on her experiences, Tandon remarked, “There is nothing like the gratification of knowing your efforts are recognized. Whether in the 90s or now, receiving an award is always a fantastic occasion.

Set for Mumbai on July 27, the TOIFA celebration of exceptional talent in acting, content production, and technical excellence in Hindi web films and series from 2023 will Tandon considered how more intimate and personal attending award events in the 1990s seemed. “The thrill of the event and the hope for the champion dominated everything back then. The company would gather like a big family all around. Without instant updates or social media, the suspense was clear-cut, and the celebrations appeared more personal and private. We wore what we liked and felt good with without trained stylists or expensive clothes. The event set itself forth in simplicity and integrity.

To ensure fair decision making, TOIFA has established a strict three- stage voting system. First ranks the nominees a screening jury of thirty well-known performers, directors, studio executives, authors, casting directors, and movie critics. Comprising 175 members of the Producers Guild of India, the Advisory Council then reviews these nominees before the TOIFA Academy decides on the winners.

“It is absolutely crucial to assign the correct person in the right category,” Tandon stated. “Reliable honors like TOIFA not only celebrate the recipient’s achievements but also offer a benchmark for others to aim high. These accolades significantly influence artists’ inspiration as well as the acceptance of the best in our field. They provide actors, directors, and technicians a stage on which to celebrate their exceptional performance. We are dedicated to maintaining fairness and quality standards so that the honors fairly reflect the ability and effort of the best in our field of work.”

Tandon also described her own experience sitting on the TOFA Advisory Council. “My experience has been really eye-opening and rewarding. Being part of the team has responsibilities as much as benefits. The degree of creativity and innovation the nominees show truly speaks to me.

All things considered, Raveena Tandon’s insights highlight how important TOIFA is for acknowledging successes and motivating a film industry of gratitude.
