Randeep Hooda’s ‘Swatantrya Veer Savarkar’ is nominated for the Oscars 2025

Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda’s ‘Swatantrya Veer Savarkar’ has been nominated for the Oscars 2025. Randeep Hooda, who is also the director of the film, has been praised for his excellent performance in the film.

Sandeep Singh, who is the producer of the film, shared this news expressing pride and gratitude. He thanked the ‘FILM FEDERATION OF INDIA’ for the appreciation. The movie is about the great freedom fighter Vinayak Damodar Savarkar’s life. Randeep Hooda has gone through a significant physical transformation for the biographical drama ‘Swatantrya Veer Savarkar’ where he depicts the titular role. He reflected on his incredible experience and extended his thanks to everyone who supported the project. Randeep looked almost unrecognizable in the BTS picture, which he shared right before the film was released.

At the trailer launch, Randeep shared his views on the freedom fighter. The actor calls this an anti-propaganda film. It can challenge all the propaganda against Savarkar that has been going on for ages. He also added that there were petitions and bail pleas, and that’s the right of any prisoner. If anyone has been to a court, they would know how it all operates. He was lodged in cellular jail; he wanted to get out and contribute to the country in many ways. Savarkar is finally getting free from the traps of perceptions, and people will now get to know his true story with his film.

He even highlighted the films on Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Jawaharlal Nehru, and many others, which are already available. So a film on Savarkar is no different from making the people aware of our great freedom fighters and what all they went through.
