PVR Cinemas has declared a multi-city film festival dedicated to the Bollywood Diva, Mrs. Kareena Kapoor Khan. This honour is given for her 25 years of acting career in Bollywood, making her the first Indian woman. Previously, only male actors like Dilip Kumar, Dev Anand, Amitabh Bachchan, Akkineni Nageswara Rao, and Shah Rukh Khan have been honored with similar celebrations.
This Monday, PVR Cinemas dropped a trailer announcing the multi-city film festival on social media. The trailer featured clips of some of her memorable and most beloved characters, such as Poo from Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, Geet from Jab We Met, and the titular role in Chameli. More details about the celebration, like the schedule and participating cities, will be declared in the coming days. Kareena couldn’t stop herself from expressing gratitude on Instagram. “The blood in my veins, the magic on screen… my job I love… the fire within… Here’s to the next 25 Thank you to @pvrcinemas_official and @inoxmovies for curating this beautiful festival… so humbled,” she wrote.

Kareena made her OTT debut with the Netflix original, Jaane Jaan, last year. Her latest movie, “The Buckingham Murder,” was released recently on September 13 Friday and is currently running in theaters. It is a 2023 Indian crime thriller film directed by Hansal Mehta and produced by Kareena Kapoor Khan herself along with Shobha Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor. Kareena is playing a British-Indian cop who has already lost her child to murder and then moved to another town to investigate the disappearance of a missing child. Also, Kareena is set to star in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again opposite Ajay Devgn for the upcoming year.
