The actress arrived early Friday morning and was greeted with whirling cameras of eager paparazzi. Priyanka radiated her usual appeal as she excitedly posed for photos, dressed casually but fashionable in an all-white ensemble including a crop top, track pants, and a long shrug.
Paani’s Growing Excitement
Set for a big-screen premiere on October 18, Priyanka’s Marathi film Paani, made under Purple Pebble Pictures under joint production with Rajshri Entertainment, Under the direction of Adinath Kothare, the film follows the inspirational path a man from Nagderwadi, a drought-stricken hamlet in Nanded, toward self-sufficiency in water.
Originally slated for 2019, the film was hailed for its social impact and even brought home the National Film Award for Best Film on Environmental Conservation. Priyanka clearly showed excitement when she uploaded the motion poster of Paani on her Instagram earlier this week, describing the project as “very, very special.”
Managing Projects from Hollywood and Bollywood
Priyanka found time even with her busy Hollywood schedule to promote her Marathi passion project. Apart from Paani, Priyanka just wrapped filming The Bluff, in which she portrays a former pirate protecting her family in the Caribbean during the 19th century. Among others, picture stars Karl Urban, Ismael Cruz Cordova, and Safia Oakley-Green from Frank E. Flowers. Priyanka is also preparing for the second Russo brothers-produced global spy action series Citadel, which also stars Richard Madden.

Even though Priyanka is internationally successful and firmly entrenched in Indian film, she finds immense delight in producing regional movies like Paani.
