The Oscars, which began in 1929, are now preparing for their 97th edition, which will be held in Los Angeles on March 2, 2025. South film trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan has given information about the Oscar entry of ‘Kanguva’ on his official ‘X’ account. “According to him,” ‘Kanguwa. “has entered the fray in the Best Feature Film category.” However, Dainik Jagran does not officially confirm this. He is yet to be shortlisted for the nomination. A total of 323 films were nominated for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Awards, out of which 207 were shortlisted.
Now it has to be seen whether Suriya’s’ Kanguva ‘can make its place in the Oscar Awards 2025. Earlier, Aamir Khan’s production house’s film ‘Missing Ladies’ has already been out of the Oscar race.

When will the Nomination take place?
Nomination for the 97th Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Awards will begin on January 8 and continue till January 12. After this, on 17th January 2025.
