New Delhi: With her first glimpse from the much awaited movie “Kubera,” Rashmika Mandanna has gone internet crazy. Rashmika is seen in the video clutching a bag against a wooded backdrop. The clip opens with the actress searching out a cash-filled bag buried in the ground while strolling throughout the woodland. She obviously bears deep, dark secrets as she leaves with her full luggage. Rashmika posted the first glimpse on social media with “Kubera” caption and included some loving emojis.
The first view of Nagarjuna from the movie was also shown: he was somberly walking in the rain under an umbrella. The mystery is heightened by the text “King Nagarjuna” flashing on the screen. Dhanush’s first look from the movie went viral earlier this year and created a lot of excitement and expectation.
Directed by Sekhar Kammula, “Kubera” is produced by Suniel Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao under the Sri Venkateswara Cinemas LLP and Amigos Creations Pvt Lt brands. To appeal to a broad viewers, this multilingual movie has been shot concurrently in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi.
Known for her outstanding performances in movies such “Geetha Govindam,” “Dear Comrade,” “Kirik Party,” “Chamak,” “Anjani Putra,” “Sita Ramam,” “Varisu,” “Sarileru Neekevvaru,” became a household name after acting in the 2021 film “Pushpa: The Rise.” Her Bollywood debut was in “Goodbye,” co-starring Amitabh Bachchan and Neena Gupta, and she also starred Sidharth Malhotra in the spy drama “Mission Majnu”. Next Rashmika will be featured in “The Girlfriend,” with Allu Arjun, and “Pushpa 2: The Rule.”
Rashmika’s first look poster from “Kubera” only lately presents her character in an interesting manner. She goes throughout a jungle carrying an iron rod in the video, digs the ground, and gets a suitcase loaded with money. Fans have been enthralled by her character’s delight at spotting the money and leaving with the bag; they have called the first glance “mind-blowing” and “something very different.”
The creators debuted Nagarjuna Akkineni’s appearance in May, showing him strolling under an umbrella in severe rain surrounded by trucks laden with cash notes. Seeing a wet Rs 500 note on the ground reminds him to go back to the cash container and add his money to the pile, thereby signifying the title of the film, “Kubera,” named after the deity of wealth. Nagarjuna’s attire—a shirt, jeans, and glasses—has raised expectations for this social drama.
Among the ensemble cast of “Kubera” are Dhanush, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Rashmika Mandanna, and Jim Sarbh. The multilingual production of the movie supports its pan-India appeal. Apart from “Kubera,” Rashmika has several interesting projects lined up including sharing screen space with Salman Khan in “Sikandar,” directed by A.R. Murugadoss and planned for release next Eid, and “Pushpa 2: The Rule,” set to premiere on December 6.
