Actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas showed behind-the-scenes at the shooting location on the first day of Citadel season 2. She showed this while riding an electric buggy around the location.
Priyanka also promoted this on her social media with an Instagram post on Wednesday stating, “Nadia is back,” referring to her character in the series. In this video, Priyanka takes a mirror selfie and reveals bruises on her wrists, which probably must have occurred during the shoot. Fans immediately expressed their excitement for the upcoming season. Comments like “Badass Nadia is back in action,” “Been waiting for this since season 1,” and more such fanatic comments. Some viewers are even curious about the embellished condiment bottles in the BTS footage.
As per media reports, Priyanka will be seen playing a spy agent, Nadia Sinh, in the Citadel Season 2. Amazon MGM Studios and Russo Brothers AGBO produced this popular prime series. It features Richard Madden alongside Priyanka, who plays Mason Kane, a spy agent and Nadia’s lover. We can still see the conflict between the titular spy agency and its powerful enemy syndicate, Manitore. It also features Rahul Kohli, Michael Trucco, Merle Dandridge, Stanley Tucci, Matt Berry, Gabriel Leone, and Lesley Manville in key roles. Also, Irish actor Jack Reynor is expected to join the cast soon.
The first season of Citadel became a success and claimed to be the fourth most-watched series worldwide on Prime Video 24 days after its release. Filmmaker Joe Russo will be directing all episodes, and David Weil will serve as the showrunner and executive producer of Season 2.
Priyanka is recently done with shooting for her upcoming action film The Bluff, helmed by Frank Ewen Flowers, making this the second collaboration with Amazon MGM Studios and AGBO following Citadel. Priyanka will also be starring in Ilya Naishuller’s Heads of State alongside Idris Elba, John Cena, Paddy Considine, Stephen Root, and Carla Gugino. She is expected to be featuring in Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaraa, alongside Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt. Priyanka has come on board to join the filmmaker Barry Avrich’s upcoming documentary Born Hungry as a producer.
