The Electoral Directorate questioned Tamanna Bhatia on Thursday around 1:30 pm while the actress was traveling with her mother from Guwahati. ED halted Tamanna Bhatia for their investigative purpose. Although she was not accused of any particular thing. ED said to the media that they have called the Bollywood actress Tamannah Bhatia about the HPZ app scam. Tamannah Bhatia was accused of promoting the HPZ app which is reported to scam the money of people investing in it.
This is the second call of Tamannah Bhatia for Money Laundering case. This is not the first time Tamanna Bhatia has reported to investigative calls. The actress was called by the Maharashtra Cyber cell to promote the Mahadev betting app. She was allegedly pushing the Indian Premier League into the FairPlay app which is a peripheral of Mahadev betting app.
What is the HPZ App?
HPZ app is reported for scamming the money of millions of people with fake promises. The app requests the user to invest 57 rupees to double it. HPZ app has opened several fake bank accounts under shell companies and has scammed money with fake promises to people. People have reported the app to the cyber cell and asked for the money returned. In which they have found the involvement of Tamanna Bhatia.

What is the Mahadev Betting APP?
Mahadev Betting app is charged with scamming over 15 crore rupees. It illegally premiered the India Premier League on its website causing a huge amount of loss to the official broadcaster Viacom. Mahadev Betting App did not have any legal permission to broadcast the tournament. The investigators are digging into the matter and taking charge of the culprits.
Tamanna Bhatia was involved with both Fairplay, the Mahadev betting App, and the HPZ app. Her involvement has made her one of the accused for the money scam of Viacom and other people worth over 1 crore. The Bollywood actress Tamannah Bhatia has been promoting these apps even after her call from Maharashtra Cyber Cell. This is the second time she is getting an investigation call from the ED.
