Actor Sunny Deol shared a video on his social media welcoming Ahan Shetty on joining the Battalion of Border 2, earlier actors Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dosanjh name were confirmed for Border 2. Soon after Sunny Paaji post, Ahan Shetty expressed his excitement and says that its an honour to be a part of the film. The film is going to hit the theatres in 2026.
Ahan also shared a video and wrote, “Border is more than a film—it’s a legacy, an emotion, and a dream come true. Ironic how life works—my journey with Border started 29 years ago, when mom visited dad on set while pregnant with me. I grew up hearing OP Dutta’s legendary stories, holding JP uncle’s hand, and sitting by @nidhiduttaofficial side. I never realized how much those moments would shape my love for cinema and the Indian Armed Forces. Now, being part of Border 2 is an absolute honour.” —
In his Insta post, the actor extends his gratitude to JP Dutta, “JP uncle, thank you for continuing to hold my hand, I hope to make you very very proud. If reports were to be believed actor Ayushmann Khurrana has been approached by the makers to play a pivotal role in the film but no final confirmation has been given by the actor.
There were also talks that the ‘Bad Newz’ actor Ammy Virk may join the film, but nothing is concrete as of now, the report suggest.
On the 27th anniversary of Border, Sunny Deol took the privilege and announce Border 2 in June this year. Sunny shared a video which says, “27 saal pehle ek fauji ne vada kiya tha ki vo vapas aayega. Ussi vaade ko poora karne, hindustan ki mitti ko apna salaam kehne, aa raha hai.”
As soon as the actor dropped the video on social media, fans can’t wait for the movie while some are excited and even call it a blockbuster.
