Accompanied by his son Abhishek Bachchan, Amitabh Bachchan recently saw the film “Kalki 2898 AD” for the first time on a large screen. The film, which is helmed by Nag Ashwin, stars Amitabh with Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan in an ensemble cast. ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ has garnered critical acclaim for its remarkable graphics and stirring performances since its premiere, grossing a substantial amount of money at the box office.
With a’mind-blown’ emoticon, Abhishek Bachchan expressed his delight for the movie on his official X (formerly Twitter) account. He posted, “#Kalki2898AD = (mind-blown emoticon) Wow!” in the wee hours of Monday. This response came after a movie night with his father, as Amitabh wrote about in his most recent blog entry.
On his blog, Amitabh recounted his exciting Sunday, including his trip to an IMAX theater in Mumbai following his weekly Sunday gathering with admirers outside his Jalsa home. It was his first time seeing a movie in a long time, so he voiced his amazement at the technological and artistic advances in the theater. A Sunday of Sundays, according to Amitabh, “the well-wishers at GOJ and then to Kalki with some friends to see on the big screen… seeing the film for the first time… and the experience of an IMAX, and the facilities and environment at the theater… so impressive, the elegance and aesthetics in the facility… had not been out for years… but so satisfying to be out to witness all the progress.”
Along with sharing memories from the excursion, he also included photos of him and Abhishek inside the theater. Amitabh is seen waving in one picture, and Abhishek is seen kissing his father in jest in another. Amitabh made fun of his kid for “fooling around” when they were at the movies.
In ‘Kalki 2898 AD,’ Amitabh plays Ashwatthama, the immortal son of the sage Dronacharya, who is symbolized by Lord Vishnu’s ‘Kalki’ avatar and is seen traveling the world in pursuit of hope. The movie has gotten positive reviews, with Amitabh’s performance receiving special recognition. His powerful on-screen persona, powerful baritone, and believable portrayal of Ashwatthama have all been praised by critics. “One of the biggest strengths of ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is Amitabh Bachchan’s Ashwatthama,” said Janani K of IndiaToday.in. We feel that he is THE Ashwatthama because of his powerful baritone, on-screen persona, and manner.
“Kalki 2898 AD,” which debuted on June 27 and has already earned ₹302.4 crore nett in India in all languages, has maintained its popularity and received high praise for the scope of its story and visuals.
