The Entertainment Cricket League (ECL) is gearing up for its second season, set to in the first week of March. Following the success of its debut season, which captivated millions with a blend of fierce competition and entertainment, Season 2 promises even greater excitement, intense rivalries, and fresh talent to keep fans on the edge of their seats.
This season will feature eight franchises led by renowned captains who bring unique leadership styles to the field. Elvish Yadav leads the defending champions Haryanvi Hunters, while Munawar Faruqui captains the Mumbai Disrupters. The lineup also includes Zayn Saifi for Rajasthan Rangers, Abhishek Malhan for Bangalore Bashers, Pushkar Raj Thakur for Kolkata Superstars, Mahesh Keshwala for Chennai Smashers, Gaurav Taneja for Dynamic Delhi, and Anurag Dwivedi for Lucknow Lions. These leaders, representing a mix of entertainers and strategists, are set to add flair and energy to the league.
The inaugural season set a high benchmark, with the Haryanvi Hunters clinching the title under Elvish Yadav’s leadership. They remained undefeated throughout the league, showcasing exceptional teamwork and a “friends first” philosophy. Anurag Dwivedi’s Lucknow Lions, known for their strategic gameplay inspired by MS Dhoni, finished as runners-up, while the star-studded Mumbai Disrupters led by Munawar Faruqui secured third place after a nail-biting loss in Qualifier 2.

For this season, at a grand event in Mumbai, under the hammer featured over 350 players, with 50+ retained and 15 marquee players boasting a combined following of over 800 million. The event saw fierce competition among 8 teams, comprising 160+ players, with content niches from dancing to comedy to gaming, amongst others. The live stream attracted significant engagement, garnering 2.7+ million views and over 50,000 likes.
