Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, Bollywood star Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s family is back in the headlines after his elder brother, Ayazuddin Siddiqui, was detained by Budhana police on allegations of fraud. This incident adds to Ayazuddin’s history of legal problems.
According to PTI, Ayazuddin allegedly sent a false order letter to the consolidation department, claiming it was from the District Magistrate’s Court. This letter referred to an ongoing land dispute with Javed Iqbal. During the investigation, the District Magistrate learned that the paper was false, forcing him to submit a complaint. Consequently, a case was registered against Ayazuddin and Javed under sections 420 (cheating) and 467 (forgery of valuable security). and 471 (using as genuine a forged document) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) in March 2024.
This arrest is not Ayazuddin’s first encounter with the law. In 2018, he was accused of insulting religious sensitivities by sharing an unpleasant photo on social media. At the time, Ayazuddin defended himself by claiming he challenged someone for spreading an insulting image of Lord Shiva, but a lawsuit was launched against him. He insisted that the charges be properly examined.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui, known for his roles in films such as ‘Gangs of Wasseypur,’ has also experienced personal hardship, most notably his marriage to Aaliya Siddiqui. Aaliya sent Nawazuddin a divorce notice in May 2020, citing long-standing marital troubles and accusing his brother Shamas of assault. However, Aaliya recently retracted her divorce notification, claiming a wish to reconcile for the sake of their children.She told E-Times, “The troubles we encountered were all caused by a third party. Now that the issue is resolved, we’ve chosen to stay together for the sake of our children.”
Despite these family troubles, Nawazuddin Siddiqui continues to excel professionally. He will star alongside Arbaaz Khan and Regina Cassandra in ‘Section 108’ and has numerous more projects in the works, including ‘Adbhut.’
