After the demise of Ratan Tata, many celebrities, politicians, and business tycoons paid tribute to the legend. Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan also posted on social media to mourn the passing of Ratan Tata. In a short note, Bachchan recalled the “wonderful moments” they spent together and praised the “immense foresight and resolve” of the “visionary leader.” He shared on X, “Just came to learn of the passing of Shri Ratan Tata, who was working very late… An era has ended… A most respected, humble yet visionary leader of immense foresight and resolve… I spent some wonderful moments with him during several campaigns we were involved in. My prayers 🙏.”
Amitabh Bachchan had partnered with the Tata Group for its entry into the movie industry in the early 2000s. Back then, Tata, under the banner Tata Infomedia Ltd., launched a production house with HS Billimoria as the managing director. Ratan Tata was the Chairman of the Tata Group at this time. It starred Bachchan, along with John Abraham and Bipasha Basu. Billimoria was convinced with the script and liked the cast so quickly decided to go with it with Screen Daily.
Aetbaar was released in 2004, but it failed at the box office. At the time, as per a report in Rediff, the film didn’t do well at the box office and decided to pull out of the movie business. When Aetbaar was being made, John and Bipasha were dating each other. The two also appeared on Amitabh Bachchan-hosted Kaun Banega Crorepati to promote the film.

Aetbaar is a thriller-drama movie. The story goes like this: ever since Dr. Ranveer Malhotra’s (Amitabh Bachchan) son died in a car accident, he has been very protective of his daughter Ria (Bipasha Basu). When she meets Aryan Trivedi (John Abraham), she is mesmerized by him, and she soon engages in a relationship with Aryan as an act of adolescent rebelliousness against her overly possessive father.
