Directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat, the action thriller “Kill,” which stars Raghav Juyal and Lakshya Lalwani, opened theatres on July 5. Though competition from the blockbuster “Kalki 2898 AD,” starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Amitabh Bachchan, the film has been well-received by both reviewers and viewers, keeping a consistent box office performance.
“Kill” took in Rs 1.25 crore on opening day. On its second day, the movie made Rs 2.15 crore; on its first Sunday, early estimates show a total of Rs 2.8 crore. This raises first weekend collecting overall to Rs 6.2 crore. The constant performance of the movie can be attributed to the good word-of-mouth.
Tanya Maniktala, Abhishek Chauhan, Ashish Vidyarthi, Harsh Chhaya, and Adrija Sinha among others make an outstanding ensemble cast for “Kill.” Karan Johar and Guneet Monga are producing the film under the flags of Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment. Especially because of its intense action scenes and violent scenes—a departure from most Karan Johar productions—the movie has attracted a lot of buzz.
Apart from its domestic triumph, “Kill” had its premiere in the Toronto International Film Festival on September 7, 2023, under the Midnight Madness segment, and also showed at the Tribeca Film Festival. The revelation that the creators of “John Wick,” with intentions for a Hollywood remake, have bought the copyrights shows even more the worldwide interest in the movie.
Director Nikhil Nagesh Bhat underlined that “Kill” is an emotional trip challenging relationships rather than only an action movie. Aiming to learn and grow in next ventures, he showed his transparency to criticism.
Thanks in large part to its interesting plot, great acting, and favorable reviews, “Kill” has maintained its footing at the box office among fierce competition. Along with its international appeal, the film’s special mix of emotional depth and fierce action points to a great future for this Bollywood thriller.
