Mumbai, Maharashtra: Sharvari Wagh, an emerging star in the film industry, is on cloud nine with her recent achievements. Her latest movie, “Munjya,” has garnered immense love and praise from both the audience and critics. In an interview with ANI, Sharvari expressed deep gratitude to her fans for their overwhelming support.
“I have been waiting for this kind of appreciation for so long… I am truly speechless. The audience’s love for our film is incredible. My mother, who has stood by me through thick and thin, told me she is proud of me after watching the film. It meant the world to me. There’s nothing better than receiving blessings from people. When I surprised fans at a theatre screening of ‘Munjya,’ one woman came up to me and blessed me. I am extremely grateful for all the love,” said Sharvari.
“Munjya,” directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, is a horror-comedy rooted in Marathi folklore. Released on June 7, it features Mona Singh, Abhay Verma, and Sathyaraj, and continues to draw audiences to theatres.
Sharvari is set to share the screen with Alia Bhatt in a highly anticipated film from Yash Raj Films’ (YRF) spy universe. Although the official announcement is still pending, Sharvari is ecstatic about the opportunity.
“I am over the moon. Being part of YRF’s spy universe film is a huge responsibility. I have always dreamt of working in big films, so it feels amazing when your dreams come true,” she shared. Sharvari is also excited about another major project, “Vedaa,” alongside John Abraham, which she describes as a “special film.”
“Vedaa is a special film for me. It’s my first titular role, and I can’t wait for the audience to see it. The film also delivers an important message to society,” added Sharvari. Directed by Nikkhil Advani, “Vedaa” is set to release on Independence Day.
In an exclusive interview with Zoom, Sharvari revealed more about her upcoming projects, including “Vedaa,” her YRF spy universe film with Alia Bhatt, and a Netflix project titled “Maharaja” with Junaid Khan and Shalini Pandey.
“I have ‘Maharaja’ coming up on Netflix, which is also very special,” she shared. Confirming her role in the YRF spy universe film with Alia Bhatt, Sharvari highlighted that it marks the first female-led film in this series. The film is reportedly directed by Shiv Rawail, known for “The Railway Men.”
The YRF Spy Universe, launched in 2012, revolves around Indian spies. It began with “Ek Tha Tiger” and expanded with “Tiger Zinda Hai,” “War,” and “Pathaan” starring Shah Rukh Khan. The latest addition, “Tiger 3” with Salman Khan, continues the saga.
